Fonzie forum - Warcraft: The Movie

Uwe Boll is the one name every single gamer fears, and that noone trusts. He is responsible for several failed game-to-movie projects. But movies based on games have always been quite weak generally, be it by Uwe Boll or not.

Blizzard Entertainment, known from best seller games Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo, seem to want to bring change to that.

Last Tuesday, they announced officially that they had sold the film rights for the Warcraft franchise to production office "Legendary Pictures". The former has Batman Begins and Superman Returns on its shoulders, and they seem quite confident in to making this new project work.

The movie will not be directly focused on the storyline in the Warcraft strategy games neither of that in the World of Warcraft MMORPG game, but rather create a new story in the same universe, possibly with familiar characters. The movie will feature live actors and actresses and thus will not be CGI. They seek to get in the footsteps of Peter Jackson's Lord Of The Rings, trying to get an epic heroic fantasy tale together.

What do you guys think? This movie is "DOOM'ed" as many people think or can they get something outta this?

Late 2008 op zijn vroegst.

Maar verder: in die press release staat verder niets over Uwe Boll, de door mij inderdaad ook enorm uitgelachen en gefaald geziende director. Ik zou het dan ook erg raar vinden; een film project geef je zowiezo niet aan een director maar aan een studio (legendary pictures) en die kiezen zelf een director. Uwe maakt met zijn prductie bedrijfje meestal zijn eigen films dus ik betwijfel of hij hier nou echt wel iets mee te maken heeft..

Nee maar ik gebruikte Uwe maar als inleiding over het onderwerp games to movies en om aan te tonen dat meeste films zo floppen. nooit zei ik dat ik DACHT dat uwe boll het in zn handen zou krijgen want dat zou absoluut belachelijk zijn

Wordt iig een van de meest sneue menselijke-wachtrijen voor de bios in tijden in VS ofzo. Misschien komen er leuke filmpjes van op internet
