I’m talking to Machil Deinum also known as Octavius.

Can you tell us something about yourself?

Im Machil Deinum, better known as Octa/OctaVius. Twentyone years ago I was born in Amsterdam. At this moment im a resident of Bilthoven. I study communication in Utrecht.

What is your role in the making of pandora’s box II?
I wrote the script. Michiel (gare) and I made some short movies in the past, I wrote the background stories for counterstrike maps made by Michiel. And so we came up with the idea to combine the two. I wrote a story and Michiel made the sets. Together with ivan ( inf) and alex ( domi) we made the first movie PB1 and now the second one (and of course all the actors...tnx guys).. PB2.

How did you join fonzie?
I’m proud to say that I’m one of the Fonzie core members. Together with Michiel, Ivan and three other guys who are no longer active in Fonzie. We started a small Forum.. from where Fonzie started. I used to be a lot more active than I am right now. But this can always change..

Which other games do you prefer?
I used to play alot of civilization. I like history ( I used to study it on school), and that game gives you both nice historical data and a godlike feeling of controling everything. Right now I play Desert Combat ( battlefield mod) and Medieval Total war. Both are nice games, again with some nice historical data..

How do you feel about a lan big enough for the whole fonzie/w32 members?
In my opinion Fonzie and W32 are one. In the beginning only impulse was both fonzie as W32, and when time went by more w32 members joined fonzie.. right now, almost every w32 member is also a Fonzie member.. and I would like to meet them all in reallife on a big Fonzie/W32-lan.

What do you want to do after your study?
I would like to be an journalist or a reporter. My dream is to work for discovery channel or National geographic and make television programs about historical subjects.

Are you going to be active again in counter-strike?
Im afraid not. I like to play computergames but, I simply dont have that much sparetime. Like I said before I write for a paper, and I’m an active member of my own theatre group. I like to play with my friends from time to time. Do a PCW or simply play on L-town ( a public server). But I dont think Fonzie is not helped with me becoming a warplayer again.. I'm simply not that good.

Are there things you find annoying about other clanmembers and who?
Well, its hard to say this and not offending any one. But I think some of the guys here need to take this game ( cause it still is just a game) a little less serious. School for example is more important, and so is real life friendship. Perhaps people here think im overreacting, but a little less cs and a little more reallife action would do no harm.

Something else you want to share with us?
I like to be part of this group, and I hope the Active-mebers will let me stay in Fonzie for aslong as posible. I like making movies with Michiel and ivan and I hope we can do it again. Maybe not with cs, but perhaps Battlefield?

Also I like to say that the new members, Ruud, Bryan, Kris and the hole W32 crew are more than welcome in my opinion. You guys attribute alot to the Fonziespirit and make the game and the clan a party to be part of.
