Fonzie?

The father of a boy in our previous school class was called Fons. We used to make fun of this every day, and from there on it kind of developed in the word Fonzie. Our guess is that it was just a funny word, and we got kind of stuck with it because we used it every day.

Lans

As shown at the right column, small lans have been organized by fonzie since 2002. They are attended by the fonzie crew along with a few other fonzie friends.

Gaming

During the first fonzie lan one of our friends intruduced us to Counter-Strike, and we were instantly hooked up. We founded the Counter-Strike clan during the summer of 2002 and started playing matches. We gained more members and in late 2003 we entered several more ClanBase ladders. After a few months we decided our time for competitive gaming has passed and called it quits. We started to play other games like Desert Combat and RTS games like Empire Earth.

Machinima

Machinima is the term for creating a scripted movie using a computer game, in our case Half-Life. Our first movie Pandora's Box was a relatively big succes. Therefore we decided to create the sequal Pandora's Box II: Showdown. From script writing to release it took nine months to complete. The movie was received pretty well; although a large portion of the viewers suggested a better writing and acting for our next movie.

The future

Fonzie will continue to organise lans and play games online. In the future, Fonzie will primarily focus on projects like the creation of Machinima movies and the Gotrank Bot Service.
